For fresh graduates:

1. Ask the future employer what their budget for that position and find out type of industry that your future employer belongs to.
2. Next, check salary range under the industry that you join based on your job type and position.
3. If let says around MYR2000-MYR3000 then look back to your wish salary.
4. if you choose max of MYR3000 or more then you need to give justification why you deserve to get this amount even you dont have any experience.
5. Show good attitude and behavior. Sometimes, because of money, it can impact out behavior and attitude too.

For experiences (almost similar but there have a twist):

1. Ask the future employer what their budget for that position and find out type of industry that your future employer belongs to.
2. Next, check salary range under the industry that you join based on your job type and position.
3. If example your current salary is MYR1800 you can demand increment from 10% to 15% from current salary. Once again, it depends on industry and type of job too as sometimes can up to 30% of increment.
4. If more than their budget, you required to give justification why you deserve this kind of salary.
