You'll be their first impression. Don't be fake and don't be too honest. Be realistic and stay professional and answers their given questions and don't think too much what to say. Study the company. What they do, make, sell, or what industry it is and what's their story. Like meeting a new person, you first see how she/he is, not to judge but to grasp what kind of person they may be. In that you'll know how to open a conversation by listening to them and don't just hear him/her. Being nervous is normal, that's how we actively learn. After that you'll be learned. Just relax, and keep to your mind that, you want to be part of this.

Hello Bregga Tedy, great that you are invited to job interview, here's some tips for you.

Tip 1: First Impressions

Remember the 4 C’s of first impressions: confidence, credibility, competency, and correct clothing.

Be sure to have a strong, firm handshake and look the person you are meeting directly in the eyes.

Your clothing is part of your first impression, so dress professionally, be well groomed, and make sure you dress appropriately for the type of position you are applying for and the company that you are interviewing with. You can research the company/industry ahead of time so you know what type of interview outfit is suitable.

Tip 2: Know the Interviewer

Know who you will be interviewing with. If you’re unsure, ask the person scheduling the interview.

Be prepared. Know your interviewer’s name, their title, their field of interest, and job duties if possible.

During the interview, be sure to avoid topics that are too personal. Make sure to keep your communication professional.

Tip 3: Tips for Researching a Company

When researching a company, check the company’s website and any other platforms where the company engages the public to learn as much as you can.

Seek to understand more than just what the company does, but also figure out its values, culture, and specific industry. Try to identify a company’s competitors as well to better understand the market.

Your research on a company will pay off in an interview. When a recruiter realizes you have spent the necessary time researching the organization, it will show you have done your due diligence and you are interested in the company.

Tip 4: What Recruiters Look For

Before an interview, research the company to fully understand the company’s philosophy, products, and culture as well as the specific position you are applying for since it will demonstrate your genuine interest in the company and the job.

In the interview process, focus on your ability to connect with the hiring manager(s) in order to make a positive, lasting impression.

Depending on the job, recruiters may seek a variety of different skill sets and values, but they typically look for integrity, leadership, and communication among others.

Every company and job is unique, so it’s helpful to understand a company’s culture, desired strengths, and skills sets in order to best showcase yourself in the interview process.
