Can probation employee get AL after end of probation

Just wanna to ask if company policy is unpaid leave before probation.. after probation can they get the leaves as their probation is 6months (6 days ) ? Can they have it after their probation ended ?

hi, our company policy is during their probation period, they are not entitled to utilized their AL which is calculated pro-rate basis. However after confirmation, they may start to utilize their AL (Calculated since the 1st day they joined)

thought about that too, but we then have another problem pulak, employees will try not to utilize their ALs because they know they can get paid back in cash value by year end

we used to practice this too, but realized that their leave balances after a few years of service is accumulated a lot (partially also because we allow ALs to be carried forward to the following year) so we have changed that now, we allow employee to start utilizing their earned ALs once they are confirmed.

Hi, my company practices is that the staff will entitle AL since the day he joined. But during his probation is unpaid

Another option, You can pay back their annual leaves after every year if not used.

Mine is given since the first day they join but if they resigned within probation, it will be counted as UPL. Hence they gotta pay back.

Our company practise is during their probation period they are not entitled to any of our company benefits, apart from their salary and EPF and Sosco + SIP as we need to monitor and evaluate their performance, upon confirmation on their job they will be entitled to all our company benefits.
