Dear friends. Not sure if this topic was brought up before but does anyone have any HR cost reduction plans or ways that HR can help the business increase revenue during this EMCO period ? I can only think of the following for now: 1. Utilising free online training 2. Utilising free job ads 3. Freezing of recruitment activities 4. Freezing of bonus / increment / adjustment Does anyone have any other better or more innovative ideas ? Kindly share if possible. Thanks in advance.

Okay, that would be complex. How about something like a referral program internally for employees to refer potential customers. Like how some companies have for recruitment, employees can refer candidates and get incentivized if the person get hired. That way you avoid having to train the employee on product/service knowledge & sales process etc, they just need to refer interested parties to the actual sales team. The reward part subject to bosses on what % to provide to the employee upon the deal being closed.

I joined a webinar where the speaker suggested having non-revenue generating employees start doing abit of sales, which was interesting. If they have alot of downtime, I guess why not ‍♀

There are a few more like for example : - 1) Sales + Employee Engagement Campaign : where send out referral codes to your employees, and ask your employees to share to their friends / families to buy the product : engagement + sales . Just have to juggle the profit margin ratio - 2) Freeze adjustments with the right monitoring rate: like for example Benchmark a realistic rate your company wish to achieve; once company hit back certain financial numbers, release back the adjustment by % to the talents - 3) Talents as the company branding : If there are some sort of free merchandise can be used by employees, create a challenge where employees can post the product to social media & share, to those who hit certain numbers, give back rewards - these are a few examples can be done. Hence, all has to come back to your business models / direction of the company. It's all dependable on how HR can linked Human Capital Management to Financial Management

Shut down some hvac and lighting system on certain area, share some space. Its a lil bit tight but only for temp.
