What are the actions if we found staffs stealing money?

How to handle a situation where a staff steel another staff money? What are correct step and action to take?

Ask the witnesses and victim, write the full statement and chronology. What time/date? Victim: 1) Ask her type/color/brand wallet? 2) amount monies in the wallet before incident and after? 3) how her noticed her monies gone? Bla.. bla.. Witness: 1) At where witness saw the person took the wallet? What type/color/brand wallet?

If her answer is all good n fine, then u ask her straight to the point. If she deny it, call the other party that accused her stealing. Once she admitted it, immediately give her show cause letter, suspend her service not exceeding 2 weeks. Refer to Section 14 EA1955

As a HR person u need to investigate by interrogating him/her. Hear from both side of story. Currently u only listen to one part of the story

Make a police report without take any action, then ask him resign him shelf. And show all the people this. To make sure no body will make this kind of mistake again. This is my own opinion.
