Does employer have right to delete all of her work in company laptop?

My friend has been terminated from the company that she's been working for. On her last day of her work, she deleted all of her work in her computer. Does she have the right to do that, since all the work was done by her?

Yes, the worker does not have any right to do so but it's not really necessary to do that. I've experienced this once when I used to work in one company and my boss actually requested for back up workers. I've trained that workers for 2 months, but still she doesn't get it and I accidentally knew her salary one day, and guess what? Her salary is much more than me. I was dissapointed, I've felt like tear up all the documents but It's not worth it to do that. so what did i do, i just find a new job that would appreciate me even more.
