What should I do when I know my friend being threatened by their colleague?

my friend was being threatened by his colleague, the colleague grabbed a chair intending to throw over him today. The boss did nothing but asked my friend to relocate to other branch instead. If my friend refused then they’ll fire him, May I ask if there’s any compensation my friend could get from his boss?

Ask ur friend to make a police report over the incident today for his own safety. It's not easy just fire someone without any good reason. Ask your friend to discuss with his boss on the relocation. The boss should be take a disciplinary action on the other guy n not on yr friend. If they fire him they have to compensate yr friend.
