I always considered that probation period is a two way street. The company is "trying you out" and you are "trying the company out"... If any way turns out not to be a good fit, a party can withdraw from the agreement/engagement. It's only fair. So look up the agreement you signed. If the company is required to give you notice period, by default it means you also need to do the same.

Check your contract/offer letter first...let's say u want to quit earlier, give valid reason and discuss if is possible to serve shorter notice period...

Take note if you do so, it is difficult to go to same company unless you have very good reasons. Doing so is considered as "burning bridge"
