Action to terminate permanent employer with attitude problem

Can someone guide me on the termination of a permanent staff (passed probation) due to discipline & performance issue? Can we actually terminate with immediate effect? If yes, do we need to give compensation or etc?Other than that, do we require to give warning letter x 3 times prior termination?

Discplinary and performance are 2 different matters and require different approach/steps in managing it. You cannot terminate anyone without going through the due process. And you definitely cannot terminate anyone abruptly as well without going through the necessary process. And it is also not necessary to go on e progressive punishment such as 3 warning letters. It shall always depend on the gravity of the offence. For example, someone who stole, it can be summary dismissal.
