I got terminate my employment due to cost cutting...
I've join A company since 16/6/2020.
Suddenly my director informed me that the company will terminate my employment due to cost cutting. Seek advices from all the members here. Thanks in advance.

If they are retrenching people due to the economic reason, then yes, it should follows the LIFO concept. Last In First Out. It means, the retrenchment should start with the latest recruited staff. Some new staffs might be spared due to the needs in their business, and those that could be released will be in the list. But of course it should be a bunch of people. At least a couple of employees. Some companies may exercise the retrenchment process by batches. Some do it in bulk.
Anyway, I am sorry to hear that. May you find a better opportunity after this.

Go report to IR dept. Seek for reinstatement. Buang kerja must have valid reason, cannot simply say. U go IR dept, let company answer to officer.

If you file your case with JTK... the compensation is not much.....but if you file a case with IR Dept... file for reinstatement .... under Sect 20 of IR Act... basically wanted your job back

company has the right to terminate you.. if wrong procedure and company willing to pay court compensate..

Before company proceed with termination they must justify the reason of the cost cutting (i.e. financial.

U r still under probation period? If yes, company keep the right to terminate employment by given mayb one or two weeks notice (depends offer letter)
