What is the proper procedure for staff payslip?

I've a question. for payslip, company need to keep a copy too ? does it require staff signature ?  what's the proper procedure for staff payslip ?

We never print payslip. we use online system for all of this.

HR keeps a copy of the printed payslip. Staff need to sign on the received payslip so that nobody shall say they didn't receive their payslip n to avoid it fall onto other people's hand
