Please don't confuse that OT Calculation Basis is RM 2K Max. It depends on the actual Ordinary Rate of Pay (ORP) / Wage. Those who wage exceeds RM 2K may not be defined as an Employee as per EA 1955, subject to Schedule 1 of the said act. If the employee is deemed to be an employee under EA 1955, his or her wage may exceed RM 2K e.g. even RM 10K, but he or she is entitled to receive overtime payment as per statutory rate.
