As an HR expert, I understand your concern about the expenses for training not being covered by the company. It is important for companies to invest in their employees' development and provide necessary training to improve their skills and knowledge. It seems unfair that you have been asked to cover the expenses yourself, especially considering your limited knowledge in your current position. To address this issue, I would recommend the following steps:1. Communicate with your supervisor or HR department: Schedule a meeting to discuss your need for training and the associated expenses. Explain that you need proper training to perform your job effectively, especially since you were transferred to this position with zero knowledge. Emphasize the benefits of the training to both your personal growth and your contribution to the company.2. Provide a justification: Clearly explain how the training will enhance your performance and contribute to the company's success. Highlight any specific skills or knowledge gaps that the training will address and how it will ultimately benefit your department and the organization as a whole.3. Research training options: Before approaching your supervisor or HR department, gather information about relevant training programs, their costs, and potential alternatives. This will demonstrate your proactive approach and help support your request for the company to cover the expenses.4. Propose a reimbursement plan: If the company is hesitant about covering the full expenses, suggest alternatives like a reimbursement plan, where you initially bear the costs but are reimbursed upon successful completion of the training program. This can alleviate the company's concerns and show your commitment to your professional development.5. Seek support from colleagues: Talk to your colleagues or others in similar positions who have undergone training in the past. Inquire about how their expenses were handled and if they faced any challenges. Their experiences can provide valuable insights and guidance in negotiating with the company.Remember, it is important to approach this situation professionally and demonstrate the value and necessity of the training. By highlighting the benefits and providing a well-reasoned proposal, you can increase the chances of the company covering the expenses for your training. Good luck!
