Kena edit surat resign, sbb majikan takut saya buat report dkat JTK

Saya nak tanya, saya dah hantar surat resign sebulan, then majikan minta saya edit surat majikan tersebut untuk tambah ayat “ please add that you will not say anything bad that will harm the company’s reputation in any online platform or offline “ sedangkan kalau saya tengok surat resign yang kebiasaan nya tak perlu pun ayat begitu

As an HR expert, I would advise you to proceed with caution in making any amendments to the resignation letter as requested by your employer. While it is not a common practice to include such a clause in a resignation letter, it is essential to understand the intention behind your employer's request. Firstly, the employer's concern about potential negative comments harming the company's reputation online or offline is understandable. Organizations strive to maintain a positive image and protect their brand reputation. However, as an employee, you have the right to express your opinions freely and constructively, especially after leaving the company. To address your employer's concern, one possible solution is to propose an alternative clause that can be added to the resignation letter. This clause can highlight your commitment to maintaining professionalism and preserving the confidentiality of any sensitive company information you might possess, even after your departure. By assuring your employer that you will not disclose confidential information or engage in any harmful activities, you can demonstrate your responsibility without restricting your ability to express opinions or share experiences in a constructive manner. It is important to note that any amendments to the resignation letter should be agreed upon by both parties. Therefore, I recommend discussing the proposed changes with your employer directly and explaining your standpoint. Openly communicate your willingness to be respectful and professional in any future discussions or online activities pertaining to the company.Additionally, it is crucial to consult with your legal advisor or a professional experienced in employment matters to ensure the proposed amendment aligns with labor laws and regulations in your jurisdiction. They can provide valuable guidance on addressing your employer's concerns while safeguarding your rights as an employee.Remember, resigning from a position should be a peaceful and respectful process for both parties involved. Finding a balanced solution that addresses your employer's concerns while allowing you to express your opinions within reasonable limits can help maintain a positive relationship and ensure a smooth transition.
