I understand the frustration of forcing yourself to do something you don’t like just to satisfy your mom and dad. Since you have already decided enough is enough, not going to satisfy anyone anymore. Then you should not ask advice on what you should do cause it goes back loop of needing to satisfy others. Instead you should really ask yourself what do you like to do? What is the things that makes you happy and satisfied the most? What is your dream? What do you envision your next 10-20 years be like? Satisfying others is your life pattern, just beware of that pattern and when it appears in your life stop and choose to do something different. Always do what you want to do and not what you should do.

Not familiar with a career in public healthcare, how Long have you been working since you graduated? Most companies treat the cut off point for fresh graduate roles as 2 years experience. If you’ve exceeded 2 years, you’ll find it a bit more challenging to apply to a fresh grad role. That being said, decide what you want to do and commit to try. There are various ways to try to shift career, which I believe has been shared in some previous posts here.

I think you may capitalize on your medical experience and to start exploring other functions but in the medical domain. I may suggest that you can start your search in pharmaceutical companies, you may find a suitable vacancy as a medical rep, this will help you to substantially expand your skillset and to get a more people/business-oriented experience. There are several career paths in Pharmaceutical companies where candidates from the medical domain are preferred such as learning and development, Quality management, Product management, and marketing. you may even try to take an advanced step now and select a path like product management and marketing and get a certificate which when combined with your medical experience could improve your candidacy for positions in the pharma industry. best of luck

If you don't like the medical line, then you should try working in a call center or something related to marketing as you have experience in this field & you can also try working in a retail shopping mall as a sales promoter or something which you like.

Hey, firstly, I hope you could say thank you to yourself, it is very hard to listen and follow to your own heart and stop pleasing people. Well, I believe you came from a good background with good experiences, and now, since you have idea on which direction or specialization to go, eg: Sales / call centre, etc., you may start thinking what kind of skill set (or character / interest / hobbies) which could help you on applying such jobs; if you don't have or lack of it, you may start cultivate or enhance it now, it could become your selling point during interview. Even thought interview is quite a subjective matter, but I believe there will be one job which you and the company will get mutual gain. I myself as an example, I was graduated in A but work in B industry, searching a suitable career in life is tough because it is including self-searching as well; you are not alone and you are walking with your own pace. Times and effort will tell you what you shall do next. Sincerely wish you luck. Let's jia you together.
