Any penalties of overstay in work permits?

I have 2 expatriates’ work permits expire on 14 May 2020, I have done all docs and pending stamping from LHDN, and now MCO extended to 12 May 2020, I have sent inquiries to ESD but apparently still reply, any expect here can give me opinions whether will they got any penalties of overstay pls?

Should the pass expired during MCO (in the situation that MCO extended) please refer below options if expatriates intend to: Return to home country – they are allowed to exit the country without having Special pass provided that they possess a valid Passport. Kindly be advised that Standard Operating Procedures of Immigration screening would still take place as usual during departures at the airports. Please refer to the link below for further details on the entry and exit procedures at KLIA airport or via land transport. http://www.klia.com.my/passenger-guide/faq-covid-19-mco Return to home country of origin or transit, but restricted entry or absence of flights – kindly present yourself at the relevant Immigration Office, once after the MCO period for facilitation. All procedures pertaining to submission, renewal and extension of Visa, Pass and Permit would be facilitated by Immigration Department of Malaysia after the MCO period ends.
