Does allowances for intern by hourly or monthly fixed?

I have a question. Usually for internship, we offer a fixed amount of monthly allowance and not other way of payment, for example pay by hourly rate. Am I correct? Is there any low or common practice that we cannot pay by hour, instead pay a monthly fixed internship allowance?if u pay with hourly, how much u going to pay? will it bit difficult to monitor?

Correct. That's why I insist for intern, must pay fixed monthly allowance. Cause my company offer part timers with hourly pay

there is no law mentioned about that, however most company practice is pay with internship allowance with monthly basis
