As an HR expert, it is important to understand that employment laws and regulations vary from country to country. However, in many jurisdictions, employers are obligated to pay employees for the work they have done, regardless of whether or not they have given the required notice period. The absence of an offer letter or employment contract does not negate the requirement for an employer to pay an employee for their services. In this situation, if your boss is stating that you will not receive your salary because you did not give a one-month notice, it may be considered unprofessional and potentially a violation of labor laws. Generally, an employer should communicate their expectations regarding notice periods and any potential consequences for not fulfilling them in writing and in advance. Without a written agreement stating otherwise, it is unlikely that your boss can withhold your salary.Furthermore, the method of salary payment, whether through transfer or cash, should adhere to local labor laws and regulations. Paying employees partially by cash may raise concerns related to tax compliance and financial transparency. It is important to consult with a legal professional or a labor department in your jurisdiction to fully understand your rights and responsibilities as an employee. They will be able to provide you with guidance on how to address this matter and ensure that your rights are protected.
