Need advice regarding Career Advancement for me in the hoteliers environment

Hi saya nak tanya, saya diploma holder. Saya mempunyai lebih 8 tahun pengalaman dalam bidang IT. Dari IT support in retail selama 6 tahun lebih, dan selama 6 tahun itu tiada career advancement opportunity di company itu, jadi saya mengambil langkah utk berhenti. Selepas berhenti sebagai it support, saya merancang untuk menjadi IT manager untuk 5 tahun akan datang. Selepas mencari kerja saya mendapat kerja di hotel environment sebagai senior it executive selama 8 bulan. Kemudian mendapat tawaran sebagai assistant manager it. Persoalannya adakah saya diploma holder layak untuk position it manager utk akan datang, atau saya harus lanjutkan pelajaran tahap degree/master. Terima kasih
