Assalamualaikum. When considering a career change from engineering to HR, it is important to showcase transferable skills and highlight any relevant experiences from your previous engineering role. To increase your chances of being considered for an HR executive position, you can take the following steps:1) Research and target companies: Look for organizations that value diverse skill sets and may be more open to considering candidates without prior HR experience. This can include startups, small or medium-sized companies, or companies with a focus on employee development.2) Showcase transferable skills: Highlight any skills you have acquired as a senior engineer that can be useful in an HR executive role. This can include strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, project management skills, and the ability to work well in teams.3) Gain HR knowledge and skills: To enhance your knowledge and improve your chances of securing an HR executive role, consider attending training programs or courses in HR. Look for courses that cover topics such as human resource management, recruitment and selection, employee relations, performance management, and legal aspects of HR. These courses can provide you with a foundation in HR concepts and practices.4) Networking and professional development: Attend HR conferences, workshops, or seminars to expand your professional network and learn from industry experts. Engage with HR professionals on social media platforms or join relevant HR associations or groups to stay updated with the latest trends and practices in the field.5) Gain practical experience: Consider volunteering or taking up part-time HR roles to gain practical experience in the field. This can help you build a portfolio of HR projects or initiatives that you have been involved in, which can demonstrate your commitment and passion for HR.Remember, transitioning to a new field may take time and patience. By showcasing your transferable skills and taking steps to enhance your knowledge and experience in HR, you can increase your chances of being considered for an HR executive role. Good luck in your career transition!
