This is a very good question which one is in a fortunate position to ask. Of course, if the offer is aligned to what your friend is expecting, then yes, I say, go ahead with it and try out the job. If your friend is afraid of being locked down in case he or she wants to explore other options soon after, don't worry, there is always a probationary period in place.
