LinkedIn premium

Hi all. May I know is LinkedIn Premium is worth it? Or is it ok if i just stay with the basic package? Does anyone has any experience to share with me?

No harm trying since they are providing one month free trial. Anyway, I managed to land myself a job with basic package. I think what matters the most is your profile setup.

My partner used up his free Premium trial a couple of months before he was due to graduate from his Bachelor's. He applied for many jobs before that, but most had no responses. The Premium subscription somehow jumps your profile to the front of the queue, increasing your chances of showing up in search results. He also got to play around with the layout of his profile page (not sure if it's still available now, my page layout is locked). Basically, he was contacted by a recruiter from a company via phone call for an in-person interview without even applying in the first place. Two interviews later he got the job! Once you score that offer, I don't think it is necessary to keep the subscription anymore until you start looking again in the future

Its just for you to jump queue. The most important thing is your profile and your past working experience.

I think the premium is like getting you at the front seat in a concert

No worries, just make sure you get your timing right! Since it's a free 1-month trial, you want to make the most use of it. Connect with 5 new peeps every day if you can, and make sure to update your profile as accurately and detailed as possible. Give job descriptions/achievements, and have a nice profile picture (professional setting) to top it off. Ask a trusted friend/colleague to endorse your skills. Look up on how to write a stellar brief about yourself, and what your passion/motivations are in the career you want to be in. Once your profile is ready to sell itself, go ahead and start that trial. Wishing you all the best in your job hunt

Availing LinkedIn Premium is worth it if you use LinkedIn every day to connect up to as many people as you'd like. You can also have access to the courses, many of which are informative and can give your profile a boost.
