Does attendance need to be recorded manually

Is it a must to have attendance recorded either way, thumb print, punch card or written in a book? Currently, we do not have this practice and thumb print is on the way.

In Malaysia, you don't have to have an attendance record to be liable to pay wages to employees. Though it is very advisable to have a properly mantained and reasonably accurate attendance record.

On how you record it, it depends on your company culture, and utilization of technology offers a varieties of ways you could do it effectively and efficiently.
