1. Would HR reject a good candidate base on age? 
2. Would HR consider any candidate above 50 not to be computer literate?

Agree with you on question 2. Not all candidates above 50 do not know how to use a computer. Depends on their positions. Management candidates are always on the pc doing reports, presentation etc...
