Part Time 24 hour resignation letter valid or not? 10 months I have work there .

I dah kerja 10 bulan kat sini , and masa interview kata kalau nak jadi full time ambik masa lebih kurang 3 bulan mcm tu and I dah kerja sampai 10 bulan sampai sekarang x naik² lagi .. and then last week (1.1.24 until 7.1.24 ) management bagi cuti tanpa sebab/notice etc.. and I dah cari kerja lain and dapat dah , masa I nak bagi surat resign 7 days and I kata x masuk kerja sbb minggu lepas bukan I minta cuti pun tapi bagi , so minggu ni I x nk masuk kerja .. and then they say kalau mcm tu , biar bagi 24 jam NOTIS , so I Tanya balik , kira mcm mana ? And then they say potong gaji seminggu.. I Tanya balik , kan minggu lepas I x minta cuti , manager sendiri yg bagi .. so kalau nak potong pun ambik yg masa I cuti tu , I nak gaji I kerja seminggu sebelum tu .. and then kata x boleh .. so I pun pergi pejabat buruh and bgtahu semua ni , officer kat sana kata , kita boleh buat tuntutan utk cuti yg bagi tanpa sebab/notice.. so fight back for my salary again and I gv ready 24 hour resignation letter.. so betul x apa yg I buat ni ?

From an HR perspective, a 24-hour resignation letter may not be considered valid or acceptable in most cases. Generally, employees are expected to provide a notice period when resigning from their job, which allows the employer enough time to find a replacement or make necessary arrangements. The standard notice period may vary depending on the employment contract, company policies, or applicable labor laws. It seems that you have already secured a new job and are dissatisfied with the lack of promotion at your current workplace, as well as the sudden leave without notice. It is understandable that you are frustrated with the situation. However, it is advisable to follow the proper resignation process and provide a reasonable notice period as per the employment terms. By doing so, you maintain professionalism and avoid potential legal or contractual issues. If you believe your rights have been violated regarding the sudden leave and potential deductions from your salary, it is recommended to consult with your local labor office to understand your legal options and seek advice on how to address the situation effectively.
