HELP I think my company is taking advantage of me !!!

Hi guys. i would like to ask a little. I've submitted my resignation letter on beginning of Aug, and will resign in September . But the company had decided to hold my July salary until the payment from the client is cleared. BUT THE THING IS I WORKED FULL MONTH IN JULY AND OT SOME MORE. Is the company allowed to do that? I think I am being exploited.

You are being exploited. Please lodge a report immediately to claim back your rights/ sue the company. 1. Labour office if your salary is more than MYR 4,000,for amount less than that, go to IR office.

How can the company mix up the client payment collection & staff salary? this is just so wrong.

Just lodge a report. This kind of toxic company should be fined by the authorities.
