Just put 30%-40%. If they like you, they will nego with you, don’t put the expected salary lower than 30% at the beginning

If you put in a range, there's a tendency for employers to offer you RM2.5k because that's the min you're willing to accept. When you try to nego higher, they'll claim RM2.5k was what you have indeed stated. So to avoid such issues, put in RM3k or RM3.2k in your case (make sure that this asking salary is reasonable for your industry/role). So when you negotiate, it can go to RM3k or lowest RM 2.8k. At the end of it, make sure it's a pay you're OK or comfortable to accept. Don't be a disgruntled employee who complains the company pays you peanut because, you're the one who accepted the peanut.
