Exemption of 50% maximum in cases where of the EA Section 24 (9) conditions is fulfilled.

Yes, but there are also other rules that must be observed when deducting for advance. It is also prudent to have the employee to write a letter to the employer applying for the advance, and states that he or she agrees for the salary to be deducted for the repayment purpose.
