How to count resign employee salary?

If an employee resigns and he has a balance of Annual Leave including replacement days. Should I count his salary using 26 days method?

My practice is divide by 26

Another method is (Wages × 12 Months) ÷ 365 Days

26 days method is more favourable to employee, so there is no issue.
