Can we lower down salary for demoted workers?

Would like to know if manager demoted to supervisor with reduce responsibility and job scope, can we lower down his salary follow supervisor’s salary range? Any procedures we need to do?

Cannot demoted a staff unless due major disciplinary issues. Proper disciplinary procedures should be taken against staff, like DI. If not, staff can file Sect 20 of IT Act for reinstatement
