An employee who is genuinely sick could be sent for a medical boars to determine the state of the employee's health and whether there are chances of the employee coming back. The employee will be entitled to termination benefits payment under regulation 4 (1 ) of the Employment (Termination and Lay-Off Benefits) Regulations 1980 if inder the scope of the EA 1955.
