I feel not suitable for my current position, mainly no interest at all. It is on contract 6 months. I just started worked for 1 week. Should I consult HR for another job positIon in other department?

As a new joiner about 1 week, you are not explore enough on the organization and the job that you do. You are lucky enough as you secured a contract job of 6 months while others that without any job still struggle looking out until now. Here some tips before you meet Supervisor/HR:

  • Do not overthinking!! The more you overthinking, the more you feel everything not suitable and unable to achieve.
  • Look back the purpose you apply that position? Is it will impact your career movement or not? Is this job makes you happy and enjoy to explore?
  • Is the position you apply is suitable with your study? If not, what actually that you want in your life?
  • Discuss with your Supervisor to make it clear your mind on the job that you do right now.
  • If you talk with HR and request to transfer, think again what you want to do and are you will happy or enjoy after transfer. If new job is not suitable again, are you still ask your HR for another transfer? Is there is vacancy available? If they don't have any vacancy, are you plan to resign? If yes, remember any decision you make it will impact your negative reputation and performance in your future as HR always remember people most of time.
