Is it normal if boss/ upper management ask to work in weekends and not giving OT allowance but give off days on weekdays?

Hello Joey, first thing first you need to check your offer letter first. Does it state that you only work during the weekdays? If it state like that, then may I know is it your salary is above RM2K?
According to Employment Act, If the employee’s salary exceeded RM2,000 a month, then the hours of work and overtime will be referred to the terms agreed under the employment contract.
So, I believe your company it's not wrong however you need to ensure, the duration during one week you need to have at least one day rest day.
