Has anyone ever worked in qatar before?

I got a job offer in Qatar recently (O&G industry). But we havent talked about the details. May I know whats the payscale be like?

You must elaborate further on the job itself. Is it upstream related ( Reservoir, Production, Drilling & etc) ? Or is considered as midstream or downstream ? I know some drilling consultant making USD2k/day & I also know of piping engineers with USD10k/month . It really depends on your job & the years of experience that you have in the industry.

Seems good, bro. Worked in Qatar before for 3 years back in 2008, my FIL is still in Qatar. Are you going there alone of with family? If with family, have to consider family package/benefits. The school fees is a bomb. Rental seems to be going down at the moment, 5k-8k figures. Normal expenses are ok there.

If going alone, I believe the rate is good. Can save alot. No idea if compared to US. Yeap, car is cheap but its left hand drive and no second hand value. Some Malaysians bought Harley and bring back home once contract finish.
